Students with 91¶¶Òõ Veterinary Technology program raised more than $1,100 to purchase and donate a bullet and stab resistant vest to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Aaron Lockney and his partner ‘Marko’.

OpenStax Saves 91¶¶Òõ Students Thousands of Dollars in Textbook Costs
An initiative to help 91¶¶Òõ students with the cost of textbooks expands this semester to reach an estimated 2,500 students. 91¶¶Òõ partnered with OpenStax, a Rice University-based nonprofit publisher, in the summer of 2016 to boost the use of free online and low cost textbooks across 91¶¶Òõ courses.

Summer Internships at NASA’s JPL Means Research and Robotics for 91¶¶Òõ Students & Graduates
Three 91¶¶Òõ students and recent graduates start a prestigious summer internship program at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California this week. David Nnaji, Robin Blanchard, and Scott Walker will spend the next 10-weeks working in labs and conducting research. In addition, Tiffany Verlander, who was a JPL intern last summer, returns through a paid JPL internship.

91¶¶Òõ student Rebecka Snyder is a 2017 Newman Civic Fellow. She is one of 273 community-committed college students selected across the country by Campus Compact, a Boston-based non-profit organization working to advance the public purposes of higher education.
